Originally from Dubin, Róisín is currently Head of Artistic Programme at Clean Break. As well as directing English Language productions she oversees the commissioning and development of new writing by Welsh and Wales-based writers for the theatre. She trained at the Donmar Warehouse under Michael Grandage. She was the inaugural winner of the Quercus Award from the National Theatre 2010 and she won the Young Vic/Jerwood Young Director’s Award in 2004.

Róisín has an MA (hons) Drama and Spanish from Trinity College, Dublin (1996-2000) and received a full scholarship to complete year three at the University of California, San Diego (98-99). She also speaks fluent Spanish and intermediate French and Gaelic.
