
Patricia Doyle
Patricia Doyle trained at RADA and before she moved into directing she worked extensively as an actress in Britain and America in theatre, television, film and radio. She was a founding director of GeVa Theatre New York and in the UK has worked with many of the major repertory companies as well as the National Theatre, Royal Court and Royal Shakespeare Company.
Directors Patricia has worked with include Alan Ayckbourn, Stephen Barry, Peter Brook in his world tour production for the RSC of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter Cheeseman, Robert Chetwyn, Peter Gill, Peter Hall, Christopher Morahan, Harold Pinter and Peter Wood.

Patricia has worked with Audiences Yorkshire and Arts & Business Yorkshire, in conjunction with NBT’s Learning & Access programme and directed and devised ‘Deptford Tales’ for the National Youth Theatre. Patricia has a long and continuing working association with the company including workshops, mentoring and creating a new London International Theatre Course. She has also worked with students in conservatory drama training – both in Theatre and in Ballet. For the Manchester Metropolitan University School of Theatre she directed Three Sisters, Great Expectations, Travesties and Wuthering Heights (which she also adapted); for the NYT she directed a workshop production of Love on the Dole, Barnaby Rudge and Have You Seen This Girl for the 1997 Edinburgh Festival. She has taught at the London Contemporary Dance School and for fifteen years she directed the Drama courses at The Central School of Ballet. Past students joined the Northern Ballet Company and New Adventures. For the London Centre for Theatre Studies she directed The Voysey Inheritance and she regularly gives classes at the Actor’s Centre. She has also directed at the East 15 Acting School, Mountview School and the Guildford School of Acting. |
